hello! welcome to the alternate index of mzd's appearances in-game. if you have any issues navigating it, feel free to contact me. (:
Anyway...
Here's all the info pages on MZD as a selectable character and/or relevant charge songs in the main pop'n music games. As of now, these pages are far from being complete. If there is any missing information, images, untranslated sections, and/or missing pages, I sincerely apologize... I ask for your patience.

MZD's player sprites and info for pop'n 2. this was his very first appearance in the game, and very lucky for us, he even comes in a myraid of colors. apparently, the characters that were initially assigned to these songs "went on vacation". but basically, he came in many different palettes from the start, just for the hell of it.
i count my lucky stars every day that the husband comes in many flavors.
MZD's player sprites and info for pop'n 5. he becomes bastard dj for the first time. there's only 2 different color palettes, but it's pretty dang good...
there are seven remixes.
MZD's player sprites and info for pop'n 7. two playable color palettes. his other variants are only for remix usage and that tends to be the case most times. because of this, the only animations you typically don't see for the remix variations are good, fever, and fever win.
there are four remixes.
MZD's player sprites and info for pop'n 9. two playable color palettes.
four remixes. you kinda start to see genres that do not have "remix" in name (not entirely anyway) like as if the original genre was remixed too.
two songs that were purchasable thru konami's "ee'MALL" system uses MZD 7-2P (initially. over time, it goes thru some character swaps) and MZD 9-2P.
MZD's player sprites and info for pop'n 10. two playable color palettes. the first MZD sprite to have an original, non-remix song assigned to it. a very important and precious moment...
no remixes.
MZD's player sprites and info for pop'n 11. only bringing in four new remixes, which reuse and recolor the design first introduced in pop'n 9.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 15th game. this marks the first time a playable MZD did not come with a 2P option. this also becomes the first time his shadow gets it's own sprite and becomes a selectable player with a song!! check it out!!
four remixes. boy be wearing hot clothes, reminds me of basketball. bball bae.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 16th game. technically only one playable color palette during this time.
five remixes. fluffy and warm.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 17th game. this one was a BIG favorite for a long time during my teen years.
five remixes. one song crossed over from iidx. will be explained on it's page.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 18th game, "Sengoku Retsuden". it's a recolor of the design used in the 15th game. can't complain bc he's Elegance...
there are four remixes, which reuses designs first introduced in the 17th game. if you can you count gold boyfriend's song because it's the pop'n version of another bemani song, that might be five. that aside, three are brand new remixes and one is a rework. it'll be explained on it's page.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 19th game. finally after a while, a brand new sprite. still only has one color palette.
five remixes. boy finally gets new outfit again. first time the top of his head is seen. it legit was groundbreaking. destroys all bald jokes ppl used to make.
now people make ahoge jokes.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 20th game. this one is a big deal because it depicts MZD much differently than before... see the page for more info!! it also comes with a 2P color palette.
one liscensed song, reuses missa-remi sprite from pop'n 9. six remixes. that's a lot!! they reused the design introduced in the 17th game. then a new, important original song... it affected many at time of release. it's a true celebration of the 20th game.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 21st game. this is where they drop having the game number included in the full title. blessed with another new sprite and again, comes with TWO playable color palettes!! HOOOOOOOO!!!!!! he wears pants for the first time in the main game (the very first time was technically in a spin-off game, HELLO! pop'n... or in a draft design, if you wanna go there). why is this attractive!!!
MZD takes ownership of plenty songs which crossed over into different bemani rhythm games. this has a new sprite too! which makes two new outfits, both very attractive (but the academy one is not playable. ): ) seriously, somehow, wearing a uniform is really hot. what the hell!!!
MZD's player sprite and info for the 22nd game, Lapistoria. two color palettes. art direction changes. it's kinda cursed, but 2P is blursed. i love him a lot.
song has interesting circumstances. there's also some reusage and new crossovers he takes charge of.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 24th game, called "Usaneko" for short. technically reused sprites from pmp2 and fantasia, however the player can select these separately as they come with new portrait sprites. whatever floats your boat. they are exclusive to one color palette, as well. besides that, more excitingly, there's a brand new sprite for hatena with two color palettes that came with a new song.
there's four remixes. reusing sprites is done heavily, it's really disappointing. M isn't counted as the character in charge of these songs either. even if we get new M in the form of a cameo... it's not like it used to be... the new songs, which are considered "sequel songs", are interesting enough for MZD lovers anyway. also, crossover song that reuses MZD 10-1P.
MZD's player sprite and info for the 25th game. finally a brand new sprite, with two selectable color palettes! trust me, it's been kinda a long time since lapistoria when this came out lol...
four remixes. They decided to reuse sprites for them again, but this time they aren't even modified aside from a new portraits, where M is with the original character. not very poggers. HOWEVER, he gets a new sprite... but song is just a medley. oh well! i'm ok with it.
Info on MZD as a selectable character and/or relevant charge songs in HELLO! pop'n music, pop'n portable 1 & 2, and pop'n music for the wii.
MZD's player sprites and info for the psp games, 1 and 2. both reused and recolored sprites from pop'n 10 and pop'n 16 respectively, but added new animation and two color palettes to the 16th sprite! it sorta acts like a combination of new MZD and hatena content. (: his pop'n 10 sprite is assigned a liscensed song and has a unique background. please check it out on the page!!
MZD's player sprite and info for a spin-off pop'n game. there's no 2P in this game. the art direction is slightly different. very shiny, sleek, and KINDA UNREASONABLY ATTRACTIVE. UM?
MZD's player sprite and info for the spin-off wii game. there's no 2P in this game. a squishy bean version of MZD based on his very first pop'n design. unpopular opinion, apparently, but i LOVE HIM. HE'S SO CUTE!! FIGHT ME IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE!!
MZD cameo appearances in other songs or character's animations in the main game or other games!
